  • Notes
    • From the Otago Witness (Dunedin), 17 November 1898: The reaper whose name is Death, having no respect for persons, has again visited us, and demanded a mother to leave her husband and four little children. Mrs Johnstone, daughter of Mr J. Templeton, one of our very earliest settlers, was highly esteemed by those who knew her. The husband, father, and friends have the sympathy of the neighbourhood in their bereavement.
